EZLN breaks silence

Although plenty of anarchists have their reservations when it comes to the Zapatistas, few can argue that their position has been an important in influential one when it comes to antiauthoritarian, anticapitalist politics. Their general command has remained silent for quite some time, but Dec 21st marked an end to that. Their message is brief, making use of Mayan poetic style and indicates a note of optimism. On the same day 6-10,000 Zapatistas marched silently through 6 Chiapas cities and towns; those which they had taken by force of arms in 1994.
